ABOUT THE ARTIST

  Tim Dignam -  Tim graduated from the Ontario College of Art's Fine Art program in painting and sculpture in 1991. His deep adherence to Buddhist philosophy and over 20 years of artistic endeavor has resulted in a unique expression of his creativity and spirit in his art.  Not satisfied with just one mode of expression, he constantly surprises his fans and associates with ever new and different ways to create and express his ideas in an objective expression.
You could say that Tim has artistic blood in him, being the great grandson of noted Canadian landscape artist M.E. Dignam, founder of Canadian Women's Art Society among other achievements. His work ranges from the traditional figure of fine art, of which he studied in art school, to abstract colour field paintings, miniatures. pole carvings, constructs, bizarre sculptures and more.  Most are  of an abstract nature, exploring the organic flow of nature's vitality, and our interrelation to it. Ultimately the value of the work is in the appreciation that the viewer enjoys when connecting to the visions and their contemplative natures.
The objective is to stimulate and engage the viewer to see them selves and reality in a new way in interesting and challenging ways.
